3/9/10: Gear for Sports is seeking a brand analyst I who will support the brand managers/directors/VP and sales team. The analyst will execute merchandising planning analysis and market functions as set by the manager/director/VP. Primary responsibilities include unit-forecasting adhering to established sales plans, development of marketing concepts and merchandising tools working in conjunction with the manager/director to drive towards sales goals, creation of strategic sale/product/program/margin reporting, as well as communication findings to manager/director/VP. In addition, the position will require research, monitoring, and follow up on line development, communication between multiple departments ranging from sourcing to inventory management to creative art as well as assisting with various special projects. Other tasks will include samples, aiding in line reviews, sales meeting and trade show preparation.

Education/Experience: College degree required preferably in the area of apparel, business, or marketing. Apparel industry experience in the area of buying/planning or retail account management a plus. Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills are required. Must be assertive, willing to work independently, detail oriented and organized. Time management and task prioritizing is key.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess intermediate computer knowledge and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel. Discoverer and /or MAC experience is a plus.
