Textile and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri is a national leader in focusing on the softgoods industry. The Department of Textile and Apparel Management is an award winning department with internationally recognized faculty!

The Department of Textile and Apparel Management (TAM) is part of the College of Human Environmental Sciences and ranks as one of the top programs of its kind in the country. Students are prepared to meet a wide variety of career options such as merchandising, buying, technical design, retail management, or e-retailing. The department is committed to a global focus on fashion-related apparel and softgoods, including home furnishings. Students study with award-winning professors, who also take time to advise their students. Through coursework, internships, study tours, student organizations, and interaction with industry experts, students learn about careers in the field. When students graduate from TAM, they have the skills and knowledge they need for a variety of careers in the soft-goods industry, skills that are valued and transferable to other industries as well.
