Gerber DCS1500 Sample Cutter
Gerber's Sample Cutter is a single-ply automatic cutter and plotter of pattern plastic, leather, and composites with an integrated vacuum system. Features of the cutter include cutting, notching, drilling, perforating, and pinking.
Gerber Digitizer
The digitizer workstation consists of a digitizing table and a cursor. The digitizer allows the user to enter information that describes a pattern piece into a computer system. This enables the user to manipulate the pattern in a computer-driven environment and link the pattern to other online applications.
Gerber AccuPlot 320 Plotter
The plotter enables the user to plot full-size or scaled patterns and markers on paper from the computer system. CAD Stations The lab maintains 12 computer-aided design stations. Each computer has software applications specific to apparel technology, basic word processing software, and Internet access.
Industrial Sewing Equipment
The lab has a mini-production facility that houses multiple single-needle lockstitch, overlock, safety stitch, blind hemmer, coverstitch, and button-holer industrial machines.
Industrial Spreading Table
A 20-foot industrial spreading table is used to demonstrate different fabric spreading methods, for the payout of patterns and markers, and for general classroom use.
HP Flatbed Scanners
The lab has two flatbed scanners that are used to scan images for input into many programs.

Gerber Pattern Design System (PDS) 2000 Professional Edition
This computer application allows the user to create and manipulate full-size apparel patterns in a digital format. PDS 2000 is the most productive and the most utilized pattern system in the sewn goods industries.
Gerber AccuMark 2000 Professional Edition
AccuMark is a suite of applications for pattern design, grading, and marker making.
Gerber Product Data Management (PDM)
PDM is the sewn good industries' leading data management software for the organization and communication of product specifications. It will facilitate communications within a business unit and externally to contractors and suppliers. Tools of the software include costing, bill of materials, measurements, construction details, line planning, CAD interface, and ERP interface capabilities. PDM manages not only the specification process but all of the images used in a company including those from CAD systems, scanned images, and digital photography.
Gerber Artworks Studio
Artworks is a premier design and merchandising system with tools to create designs through line drawings and fashion illustrations, present story boards, establish color ways, simulate draping, and create product brochures.
Gerber Marking System (MS) 2000 Professional Edition
MS2000 is a multi-window environment that allows users to open, arrange, and access selected applications to perform simultaneous tasks related to marker making. Customized toolbars allow users to streamline repetitive tasks for faster throughput.
Sourcing Simulator
The Sourcing Simulator is a PC based tool that allows manufacturers and retailers to evaluate sourcing, pricing, assortment and replenishment strategies for seasonal and basic products at retail. From a manufacturing perspective, an understanding of how services affect key retail financial measurements and how to compete more effectively will result. From a retailing perspective, an understanding of the value of Quick Response and Vendor Managed Inventory as well as insight on the impact of product mix, markdowns, lead times, and forecast error can result. The easy to use screens allow inputs to the simulation like retail price, wholesale price, lead time, product assortments, vendor reliability, forecast errors, consumer demand, markdowns and consumer reaction to the markdowns. Using alternative scenarios, the user can see the effects on financial, inventory and service level measures.
Gerber Made-To-Measure (MTM)
MTM meets the complex needs of the tailored clothing industry. This software solution provides true automation from pattern modification through rule based specifications and order creation. MTM provides the background environment to create customized patterns for customized clothing.Wild Ginger's Pattern Master Boutique Pattern Master
Boutique is software for creating custom sized sewing patterns for the adult female figure. Simply enter about 25 measurements into a chart, create your style by selecting design options, click the print button, and the software will make the pattern for you automatically. Boutique provides for a wide variety of figure types. By taking the measurements the program calls for, you will tell the software how to fit the different portions of the body.
