MIZZOU PLAID
Students from four TAM classes--Computer Aided Design,
Softgoods Branding, Consumer Research, and Product
Development--completed the conceptual, marketing, and production
stages of the Mizzou Plaid design and marketing.
There were twelve students in the CAD classes, each developing a
design that was submitted to the focus group analysis. The focus
group, a team of MU dignitaries, whittled the selection to four that
would be entered into an online survey . After nearly 6500 faculty,
students, staff and alumni selected their favorite Mizzou Plaid in an
online poll, TAM students met with officials from Collegiate
Licensing Company in Atlanta and the MU Licensing and Trademark
office to proceed with the licensing of the plaid to make it the first
official University's licensed fabric, Mizzou Plaid™.

After nearly 6500 Students, Alumni, Faculty, and staff voted online,
Lauren Drufke-Mahe's plaid was chosen to be the MIZZOU PLAID!
.
Lauren won a $500 scholarship for her design and she will
go down in MU history as the "designer" of the MIZZOU Plaid. Lauren is a May '06 TAM graduate from St. Charles Missouri.
