Congratulations to Jung Ha-Brookshire and Kerri McBee-Black, recipients of International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) Awards, academic and professional honors recognizing their exceptional contributions to the textile and apparel disciplines.
Ha-Brookshire, chair and professor of Textile and Apparel Management and interim chair of Theatre and Performance Studies, received the 2026 ITAA Fellow, the highest professional honor bestowed by the association, celebrating her significant contributions to the field of textiles and apparel and longstanding leadership within the profession.
McBee-Black, assistant professor and Helen Allen Faculty Fellow, received the 2026 Rising Star Award, an honor presented to exceptional junior faculty for their dedication to teaching, research, and service. Her research in adaptive clothing explores how apparel design can better meet the needs of people with disabilities.
Ha-Brookshire and McBee-Black will be honored at the ITAA conference this fall.
