Alan and Sandra Steinberg Endowed Scholarship

One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to students enrolled in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management. Recipients may either be undergraduate or graduate students. First preference shall; be given to students with a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Donors prefer to give two equal annual scholarship awards as funds will allow, rather than several smaller awards.

Fisher Ames Rhymes Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to Textile and Apparel Management students.

Kellwood Company Scholarship in Textile and Apparel Management

Given to a junior, senior or graduate student majoring in Textile and Apparel Management, the recipient shall have demonstrated a strong record of academic excellence and indicate a strong career objective in the soft-goods industry.

Kitty Dickerson Graduate Fellowship for Excellence in Textile and Apparel Management

One or more annual fellowship awards shall be made to a graduate student in the Dept. of TAM. Recipients must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours to be eligible for award. Award to be given to applicants who have distinguished themselves academically, in leadership or service roles, and who show outstanding future potential for contributing to the soft goods fields. Selection of recipients, including number & amount of awards, shall be made by the Chair of TAM, or by a committee or person authorized by the Chair.

Natalie Reid/Wheeler Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to junior, senior or graduate student(s) in TAM. Recipient(s) must have demonstrated financial need with academic achievement as a secondary consideration.

Pat and Tom Buchanan Scholarship and Missouri Historic Costume and Textile Collection

One or more annual scholarships and/or scholarships shall be given to students enrolled in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management. Preference shall be given to graduate students. Additional preference will be given to students who have demonstrated academic accomplishments and who show potential professional promise with a focus on historic costume or textile. Preference shall be given to scholarship awards; however, if no scholarship recipients are available who meet the criteria above, funds may also be used for the unrestricted support of the Missouri Historic Costume and textile Collection. If the Department of Textile and Apparel Management ceases to exist, scholarship awards may be given to students in any major within the College of Arts and Science.

Payless Shoesource Scholarship in Textile and Apparel Management

One or more annual scholarship awards shall be given to students enrolled in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management. Recipients must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher in a 4.0 scale. Preference shall be given to students majoring in Merchandising and may be either undergraduate or graduate students. Ph.D. students may also be considered. Recipient shall be a student who shows leadership, creativity, innovation and promise.

Richard W. Brookshire and Jung Ha-Brookshire Endowed Graduate Award

One or more annual assistantships and/or scholarships shall be given to graduate students enrolled in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management. Assistantship stipends should meet the standard set by the University of Missouri-Columbia to qualify for the maximum tuition benefit available to graduate students in Textile and Apparel Management if available and/or applicable. Preference shall be given to students who show potential for teaching and/or research on global supply chain management.

Sharon Stevens Scholarship in Textile and Apparel Management

This fund will provide awards to students enrolled in TAM in the College of HES who will be contributing to the costs of their education by working part-time to help defray the costs of their education. Recipient must show demonstrated leadership by participating in one or more student clubs or organizations in the college. Preference shall be given to students with a demonstrated financial need and who carry a grade point average of 2.5-3.5.

Textile and Apparel Management Graduate Student Scholarship Fund

This fund will provide awards to graduate students in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management. Awards may be granted to current graduate students or to new students entering the graduate program in the department. Selected recipients shall demonstrate academic excellence and achievement. Although financial need may be considered, it shall not be the determining factor or given extra consideration in selection of recipients.
